Strawberry legs
WHY IT HAPPENS
Those dark dots are usually pores or hair follicles clogged with dead skin and oil. Regular exfoliation helps smooth their look.
THE MOROCCAN FIX
A weekly hammam: Beldi soap softens the skin, then the Kessa glove lifts away the dead skin ordinary scrubs leave behind.
- Soften skin in a warm shower, 10–15 minutes
- Beldi soap on damp skin, then rinse
- Kessa glove in long, firm strokes
- Finish with argan oil
Dark spots
WHY IT HAPPENS
Sun, old breakout marks and hormones can leave uneven tone. Daily sunscreen stops spots getting darker.
THE MOROCCAN FIX
Nila, the traditional blue powder Moroccan women have used for generations, for brighter, more even-looking skin.
- Mix Nila with rose water into a paste
- Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eyes
- Leave 10 minutes, then rinse
- Sunscreen every day
Clogged pores
WHY IT HAPPENS
Excess oil, dead skin and daily build-up collect in pores and make them look larger.
THE MOROCCAN FIX
Ghassoul, a mineral-rich clay from the Atlas Mountains, draws out excess oil. Finish with rose water.
- Mix ghassoul with rose water
- Apply an even layer to clean skin
- Leave 10 minutes, then rinse
- Mist with rose water
Dry, dull skin
WHY IT HAPPENS
Dead skin build-up and a lack of moisture leave skin rough and tired-looking.
THE MOROCCAN FIX
Exfoliate with the full Moroccan hammam, then seal in moisture with argan oil.
- Cleanse with Beldi soap
- Exfoliate with the Kessa glove
- Ghassoul mask, then rinse
- Argan oil on damp skin
Ingrown hairs
WHY IT HAPPENS
After shaving or waxing, dead skin can trap regrowing hairs under the surface.
THE MOROCCAN FIX
A gentle hammam 2–3 days after hair removal helps free trapped hairs and keep skin smooth.
- Warm shower, 10–15 minutes
- Beldi soap, then rinse
- Gentle Kessa glove strokes
- Rinse and moisturise
